What if I told you that the most successful way for our salon to get booked is absolutely free? Yes, you read that right – free! Keep reading, and I'll explain exactly what we do, and no, it's not social media. The one thing that often gets overlooked is email marketing. Read to the end to get your FREE Step by Step Guide.
Have you been collecting your clients' emails? If you use a booking system, you probably have, and you might already have a lot of those emails saved. If not, start getting your clients' email addresses – it's incredibly valuable, and you have no idea how much it can benefit your business.
Your main goal from this day on should be to grow your email marketing list and send out at least one newsletter every month. Additionally you can also send out emails with promotions and special deals.
Ways you can collect your clients' emails include making it mandatory to enter their email in your booking system, but give the option to subscribe to your email list or not. If you don't use a booking system, have them fill in a consultation form, asking for their email. You can then transfer these emails manually into your email list.
On your website, you could have an opt-in option for your newsletter, saying something like "Never miss a special deal – leave us your email."
So now you're probably thinking, "Okay, I have all these emails, what do I do with them, and what is an email list?" You will need to find a provider that offers you the ability to collect these emails. It should be free, as it shouldn't cost you a lot of money, especially when you have fewer than 1000 emails. One provider could be MailChimp, or it could be your website provider, which might have email campaign options, or even your booking system.
Our booking system charges us for sending out emails, so that's a big no for me. Instead, we download our emails regularly and upload them to our website provider. We can send 10,000 emails for free every month, so don't pay money for that. And believe me when I say, it is the best way for us to get more bookings!
Not only are we contacting old clients who might have forgotten about us, but we're also updating everyone on special deals and educating them about different services we offer. The most important thing is that you offer your clients value and not just sell to them.
Here is a list of different values you can offer them to make them excited to see your emails:
- Exclusive Discounts: Offer email subscribers exclusive discounts on services or products.
- Educational Content: Share tips and tricks related to beauty and wellness.
- Behind-the-Scenes: Give them a sneak peek into your salon and introduce yourself or staff.
- Client Spotlights: Highlight some of your loyal clients and their experiences at your salon.
- Q&A Sessions: Host a Q&A session where clients can ask questions about beauty and wellness.
Remember, the key to a successful email marketing campaign is offering value to your clients. Make sure your emails are engaging, informative, and relevant to your audience.
